Highlights

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is where you can find both well-preserved signatures of the past and the vibrant ambiance of modern days. This capital is home to many ancient pagodas, temples, colonial buildings, and unique museums.

Get ready for our full-day Hanoi city tour from 8 am to 8:30 am! Our tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel.

At around 9:00 am, we'll arrive at our first destination, Tran Quoc Pagoda. This sacred gem is located in the middle of West Lake, drawing the attention of people passing by.

With a long history since being built in 541, the Pagoda remains an iconic symbol of the capital, where locals come for many traditional rituals. It's a great chance for travelers to discover Buddhism in Vietnam and experience a calm and respectful atmosphere.

The next must-see destination in our Full-day Hanoi city tour is the Ho Chi Minh Complex. As a great leader who brings peace and liberty to the nation, President Ho Chi Minh receives the most admiration and love from the people. That's why his embalmed body is kept here for people to visit and show respect.

There's a garden inside the complex where Ho Chi Minh used to live and work. This peaceful green landscape will calm your soul and make you feel comfortable.

Note that you can't visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum on  Mondays and Fridays as it's closed. Plus, due to annual maintenance (15th June -15th August), visitors only can take pictures of the outside areas.

After Ho Chi Minh Complex, we'll take a short walk to Mot Cot - the One Pillar Pagoda nearby. The Asia Record Organization recently titled this national historic site "The Pagoda with the Unique Architecture in Asia." Its architectural concept comes from the idea of a lotus blooming from the lake. Lotus is also considered the national flower, presenting the country's dignity, love, and sharing.

At around 11 am, we'll visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum. It's a good chance to comprehend the diversity of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. The 2-story Bronze Drum building displays Vietnamese ethnic groups, while the 4-story Kite building mainly exhibits the cultures of peoples of Southeast Asia.  Meanwhile, the outdoor Architectural Garden opens a gateway for a short trip through the living space of ten ethnic groups by showcasing real-size unique houses.

An option to replace the Vietnam Ethnology Museum on closing Mondays is the Vietnamese Women's Museum. The Museum explains women's role in the country from old times till now. The main exhibitions include Women in Family, Women in History, and Women's Fashion.

After morning activities, prepare your stomach for a Vietnamese food party for lunch at our restaurant. Our delicious 8-course meal will refill your energy for the next attractions in the afternoon.

Our Full-day Hanoi city tour will continue at 2 pm, and we will visit the Temple of Literature – the first university in Vietnam. It was once a royal school for the elite. Though the country experienced terrible wars, the architecture and cultural values of the Temple are preserved until now. Each of its 5 sections shows its unique architectural design. Coming to the Temple, you'll unexpectedly find peaceful green gardens in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi.

At 3 pm, we'll move to Hoa Lo Prison Museum. It played different roles during different historical periods of the country's development. During the French Era, the Prison was first designed as a place where Vietnamese patriots were kept and tortured.

Then, during the Vietnam War, it was used by North Vietnam to capture US prisoners. Parts of Hoa Lo Prison Museum are preserved as a museum to educate locals about patriotism and revolutionary spirit and broaden knowledge for foreigners who are interested in Vietnamese history.

Our Full-day Hanoi city tour will end at 4:30 pm. Our bus will bring you back to your hotel.
