The Huong Pagoda tour starts between 07:30 and 08:15 AM with a pickup from your hotel in the Old Town area, Hoan Kiem District, or near the Opera House. Then, we'll get ready to travel by bus through the beautiful countryside.
Arriving at Huong Pagoda around 10:30 AM, you'll board a traditional boat for a peaceful ride along the Yen Stream. It'll be a great experience to enjoy the majestic views of the surrounding mountains, including the unique shapes of Leo Fu and Raspberry Mountain, and cross the charming Hoi Bridge.
At 11:30 AM, we'll visit Thien Tru Pagoda, located on Lao Mountain's slopes. This historic temple, dating back to the 15th century during King Le Thanh Tong's reign, is one of the most peaceful places. You can witness a traditional Buddha ceremony and appreciate the temple's rich history.
By 12:30 PM, we'll have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying several regional specialties with local flavors.
After lunch, at 1:30 PM, you'll take a cable car up to Huong Tich Cave, also called the "First Cave of the South." This cave is famous for its spiritual atmosphere. Inside, you'll find the stunning blue stone statue of the Bodhisattva Kannon, carved during the Tay Son period.
As you explore, you'll also see many unique stalactites with names like Mother's Milk Gourd, Affliction Flower, Rice Dunes, Gold Tree, … each with its own fascinating shape and story.
At 3:30 PM, we'll take the cable car back down the mountain and get on the boat to return to the pier.
Next, we'll start our journey back to Hanoi at 4:00 PM, with a short 20-minute break along the way. We expect to arrive at your meeting point around 6:00 to 6:30 PM, where the tour guide will say goodbye and end your Huong Pagoda tour.
Please note that round-trip cable car tickets are not included in the tour price. The cost is 180,000 VND for adults over 130 cm and 120,000 VND for children between 110 cm and 130 cm.
