As you arrive in Hanoi City, a half-day tour around the age-old capital awaits. After checking in at your hotel, it’s time to blend in with the local life here.

First, let’s visit some historical sites like the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Hanoi Opera House, and the Temple of Literature. Strolling around these landmarks allows you to enjoy the tranquil and solemn atmosphere as the gentle breeze washes away all traces of tiredness and negativity.

Next, drop by the ancient Old Quarter to witness a peaceful rhythm of life amidst the buzzing metropolis. Under the dappled sunlight, the streets, flanked by French-style buildings, radiate a nostalgic aura, whispering tales of the past.

As the darkness gently embraces the city, Hanoi shines even brighter with well-lit streets brimming with lively restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shopping malls, and more. You can join the fun at some crowded places or leisurely wander around Hoan Kiem Lake, watching the mysterious charm of the night unfold. Finally, return to your hotel for a good night’s sleep!

Do you feel energized after a laid-back day in Hanoi? Get ready for an adrenaline-filled Ninh Binh day tour! But first, have a hearty breakfast, and our friendly guide will pick you up at your hotel. A 100km drive leads you to Hoa Lu—the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century.

This town is steeped in culture and history. Timeworn architectures carry a nostalgic and serene charm, echoing the glorious history of bygone dynasties. Walking in the embrace of greenery, you can escape from noisy cities and hectic life.

Just a stone away from Hoa Lu is Tam Coc in the Trang An complex. This place is a hidden gem where lush natural sceneries collide beautifully with ancient, timeless man-made attractions like pagodas and temples.

Tam Coc translates to “three caves” in English, including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. Getting there is a magical, scenic journey. You will take a boat ride along the peaceful, emerald river, gliding through majestic mountains and verdant rice fields. Inside these caves is a cool miniature world that you can even reach the ceilings.

We will travel back to Hanoi and wrap up our Hoa Lu - Tam Coc tour.

Today, let’s head east to Ha Long Bay! Ha Long City is about 200 km from Hanoi, so we need to embark earlier than normal. Once you can sense the salty aroma in the air, we arrive in Ha Long, leaving the crowded metropolis behind.

As a UNESCO Heritage, this bay never fails to surprise us with its spectacular sceneries. From afar, you can see imposing islands sprouting from the immaculate water, creating a stunning display.

Our first destination is Surprising Cave or Hang Sung Sot in Vietnamese. True to its name, this cave leaves us awe-inspiring with a surreal, otherworldly beauty. The stalagmites of all shapes and sizes shimmer in the colorful light like citizens of a fantasy world.

Another must-see hotspot here is Titop Island, known for its untamed, majestic charm with a verdant cliff. You can dip into the crystal-clear beach, go kayaking, or climb to reach its peak.

After a satisfying dinner with fresh seafood, we will stay overnight in Ha Long.

Day 4: Ha Long - Hanoi - Da Nang Tour
Today’s itinerary is packed with travel. You can wake up early to spend the morning like a local, wandering around the harbor and refueling for the day. Let the gentle breeze from the ocean wash away your weariness. Then, we will return to Hanoi.

After that, we will go to Noi Bai International Airport and take a flight to Da Nang city. Since we’ve moved around a lot between places today, the remaining time will be for your me-time. Have a good rest, and get ready for the thrilling adventure tomorrow!

Your Da Nang tour won’t be complete if you miss out on Ba Na Hills! So, we will spend the entire day exploring this tourist hotspot. Along with its picturesque landscape, this extensive recreational complex’s wide range of attractive places earns it the “Heaven on Earth” title.

Before participating in any recreational activities, let’s take a stroll around its gardens and fountains. Thousands of flowers and plants are arranged to create a breathtaking display. Then, why not travel back in time with the French Village? Walking in the serene cobblestone streets among gothic-style buildings feels like you are getting lost in an antique European village.

Additionally, the cutting-edge cable car system allows you to admire the city’s stunning beauty from above. With 6 different routes, you can view Da Nang from various angles. That’s not all! How can we skip the Golden Bridge? This bridge is a masterpiece of architecture, with two giant stone hands holding the bridge up like reaching heaven. You can capture hundreds of Instagram-worthy pictures at this place.

That’s enough for sightseeing, our tourists! Let’s spice things up with the Fantasy Park! This indoor park offers many kinds of games, whether fun or heart-pounding, catering to players of all ages. What a wonderful way to end a day!

The Da Nang – Cam Thanh village and Hoi An tour offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion, and tranquil moments. After traveling approximately 30 km from Da Nang, you’ll arrive at Cam Thanh village, a picturesque coconut village renowned for its serene atmosphere.

This stop offers a refreshing break after a long drive, where you can hop on a traditional basket boat and cruise along the emerald river, surrounded by lush coconut groves. The calm waters and the soothing natural setting make it a peaceful, rejuvenating experience. As you sail, you’ll also witness an exhilarating boat performance by seasoned rowers, adding excitement to your peaceful ride.

As night falls, let’s get to Hoi An to see the charming town come to life, transforming into a vibrant, lantern-lit wonderland. The streets brighten up as the lanterns reflect off the Thu Bon River, creating a magical ambiance.

You can stroll around the streets, enjoy delicious street food, and set floating lanterns adrift on the river, carrying your wishes to the beyond. Finally, you’ll return to Da Nang for a restful night, ending your peaceful journey.

Day 7: Hoi An - Saigon Tour
The morning in Hoi An offers a soothing vibe for any weary and hurtful souls. It’s recommended to wake up early and hire a bicycle to ride along the quiet, peaceful town. As you do some mild exercise on the bike, bask in the gentle sunlight and watch the buzzing life unfold on the riversides.

Following a hearty breakfast, we will fly to Ho Chi Minh City for our next destinations on the itinerary. After checking in at your hotel, you will have some free time to rest or hang out for some coffee. The real exciting adventure doesn’t begin until tomorrow!

As the buzzing life of the city kicks you out of your slumber, enjoy your breakfast to refuel for the hectic day ahead. We will then head to Mekong - a fertile delta that houses many provinces. This region is jam-packed with rivers and creeks flanked by lush coconut grooves.

That’s why we will explore this place by boat. As it rows along the serene water, you can take in the cool ambiance and try some coconut products like candies. The locals here are incredibly hospitable; some might show you how to catch fish and crawfish on the river.

Saying goodbye to the Mekong Delta, we continue to visit Cu Chi Tunnel, Saigon. This historical site had been the refuge for the Viet Cong army during the fierce attacks of the French. Our tour guide will walk you down history lane to help you understand the courage and patriotism of the Vietnamese people.

Eventually, we will return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

On the last day of our tour, you don’t need to travel a lot but visit some tourist attractions around the city. First, start the day at the Notre Dame Cathedral. This cathedral’s neo-Romanesque and Gothic design is unarguably enchanting that one can’t take their eyes off.

Only a stone away from the church is the Saigon Old Post Office, another French-built building. You can shop for some souvenirs here, with many handcrafted products.

The next stop is Ho Chi Minh Hall. As the official headquarters of the People’s Committee, it’s closed to the public. However, its French-style architecture in a cream-yellow hue is truly attractive. Next to it is the popular Nguyen Hue Street, where you can view the hall as a whole.

The last destination is the War Remnants Museum, where weapons, pictures, and other remnants from the Vietnam War are exhibited. Each item seems to have its own spirit, telling an anecdote about the brave soldiers and depicting the brutal crimes of the war.

Our 9-day North to South tour comes to an end. You will take a flight to your home country then.

Honestly, 9 days are far from enough to explore charming Vietnam to the fullest. But this North to South tour surely brings you unforgettable moments that will be etched in your memory forever.
